1 big culinary getaway
an all inclusive culinary weekend on a private island in Maine
You, your friends and a team of chefs on a private island on Annabessacook Lake, ME.
A weekend long itinerary has been created to offer up one culinary experience after another.
That is of course in between riding wave runners, hammock reading, axe throwing and all things unplugged from city living.
1 Big Sustainable Island- Monmouth, ME
1 Big Culinary Getaway on 1 Big Sustainable Island
I first discovered this incredible oasis of an escape from the city while looking for a place to camp with my dog for a couple nights. A place where I could unplug from the day to day hustle but still be tapped into handling some of the responsibilities that needed to be fulfilled from afar. After my first trip, I have been back several times to enjoy everything the island has to offer. Days are filled with fishing, hours of cooking, swimming, relaxing on the swim deck, exploring the island & reading.
On my last trip to the island I decided that I had to put together an opportunity to share it with others and lean into the level of hospitality that Kent (the owner of the island) offers already. This idea became the catalyst for this getaway that will offer a weekend long Chef driven itinerary with Chefs and other hospitality contributors coming in from all over to make it an unforgettable destination event.
